A Community Electric, electrical estimate is designed to give the customer a clear understanding of the scope of work and the total anticipated cost of a project. Its purpose is to provide a reliable price for the completed work, not necessarily to disclose every aspect of the contractor's internal pricing, labor rates, supplier relationships, markup structure, or estimating methodology.

A Community Electric estimate generally contains:

• Customer and project information

• A description of the work to be performed

• The areas of the property affected

• Major equipment and materials to be installed

• Assumptions and exclusions

• Permit responsibilities (if applicable)

• Project timeline or scheduling information (if known)

• Total project price or price by major phase

• Terms and conditions

In preparation of your estimate our team will:

1. Review the project requirements.‍ ‍

2. Conducts a site visit if necessary.

3. Takes measurements and evaluate existing conditions.

4. Determine code requirements.

5. Calculate labor hours.

6. Price materials and equipment.

7. Account for permits, insurance, overhead, and risk.

8. Develop a final project price.

What Community Electric Customers Can Expect

We charge a fee of $80.00 to generate a quote / estimate which is billed to the customer if not accepted.

If accepted the fee is factored in to total pricing for the expected work.

We have numerous service technicians that work in company vans and uniforms that are given multiple service tickets a week to take care of problems that arise on a day to day basis. These problems consist of (but are not limited to) the removal, replacement and/or repair of electrical devices such as:‍ ‍

• Outlets

• Switch’s

• Ceiling and wall mounted fixtures

• Ceiling and wall mounted fans

• Exhaust fans

• Ceiling, Landscape and wall mounted lighting

• electrical panels

• Electrical wiring

• meters

• disconnects

• Transformers

• Photocells

• Surge protection

We are also available to troubleshoot any issues you may have such as:

• A breaker tripping for unknown reasons

• A breaker being in the on position but not providing power to anything

• Lights flickering, fading, flashing or not turning on

• Loss of power in electrical devices (outlets, lights, switch’s, fans, appliances)

• Damaged wire in the home, attic, crawl space or below ground.

• Safety issues that may be present with any electrical equipment

• Electrical equipment not working as advertised by the maker or installer of the equipment

We are equipped with a high reaching bucket truck which is used mostly by our service department to handle jobs such as (but not limited to):

• Building lighting

• Street lighting

• Parking lot lighting

• High bay shop lighting

• Removal and replacement of light poles of all sizes and materials (cement, fiberglass and metal)

• Repair and/or replace light pole heads

• Rewire light poles

• Replace ballast for fixtures that require it

• We have also been known to hang flags and repair flag poles for some of the property’s we service.

In many instances our service department can offer options to upgrade your existing light pole head / fixture to better suit your needs such as doing a LED conversion of a metal halide, Incandescent or HPS light pole.‍ ‍
